DIRECTIONS, MAPS, FLOOR PLANS

DIRECTIONS UNIVERSITY OF VIENNA – MAIN BUILDING (HAUPTGEBÄUDE)

Always take the main entrance (located on the mezzanine – see >> FLOOR PLAN A) to reach all venues located in the university main building.

ARKADENHOF (COURTYARD)

You will find the ARKADENHOF (COURTYARD) straight ahead as you enter the main entrance (see >> FLOOR PLAN A).

HS 33 (lecture theatre)

To get to HÖRSAAL 33 (HS 33) you need to keep to your left as you enter the main entrance and follow stairway 1 (marked with a red arrow, see >> FLOOR PLAN A). Take one of the two stairways facing you, not the ones behind you, and keep right until you reach HS 33 located on the 1st floor (see >> FLOOR PLAN B). You may also reach HS 33 via stairway 7 from the courtyard (marked with a red arrow, see >> FLOOR PLAN A).

SRG 1 (lecture theatre)

To get to the other lecture theatres keep to your right as you enter the main entrance and follow stairway 2 (marked with a red arrow, see >> FLOOR PLAN A). Don’t turn. Take one of the two stairways facing you, not the ones behind you, and keep on your left until you reach SEMINARRAUM GESCHICHTE 1 (SRG 1) located on the 1st floor (see >> FLOOR PLAN B).

FBG, HS 45, MEDIENRAUM, SRG 2, SRG 3 (lecture theatres)

BIBLIOTHEK FÜR GESCHICHTSWISSENSCHAFT (Historical Studies Library, FBG), HÖRSAAL 45 (HS 45), MEDIENRAUM, SEMINARRAUM GESCHICHTE 2 (SRG 2), and SEMINARRAUM GESCHICHTE 3 (SRG 3) are located on the 2nd floor (see >> FLOOR PLAN C), accessible from the 1st floor via stairway 8 (marked with a red arrow, see >> FLOOR PLAN B) vis-à-vis of the University Library. Once you reached the 2nd floor keep to your right and enter the long hallway (foyer) through a big door which not only will lead you to all lecture theatres but is also the location of all coffee and tea breaks as well as the exhibition (see >> FLOOR PLAN C). The LESESAAL DER BIBLIOTHEK FÜR GESCHICHTSWISSENSCHAFT (reading room of the Historical Studies Library, FBG) is located inside the Historical Studies Library (see >> FLOOR PLAN D).

GROSSER FESTSAAL

To reach GROSSER FESTSAAL (GFS) you need to keep on your right after you enter the main entrance and follow stairway 2 (marked with a red arrow, see >> FLOOR PLAN A), turn and take one of the two stairways behind you. GROSSER FESTSAAL is located on the 1st floor right at the end of stairway 2 (see >> FLOOR PLAN B).
