CULTURAL & SOCIAL PROGRAMME >> Guided archives &
library tours At the end
of the conference opening, on Thursday
18 September, there will be a drinks reception in the university courtyard (ARKADENHOF). Delegates will have the
opportunity to relax, enjoy dance performances as well as the exhibition, and
network with colleagues from around the world. This reception is kindly
sponsored by the Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Vienna
(delegates will be offered wine from the private vineyard of Prince Hans-Adam
II von Liechtenstein) as well as the embassies of the Dominican Republic, the
Kingdom of Spain, the United Mexican States, and the Istituto Italiano di
Cultura di Vienna. The conference
dinner will be held on Sunday 21
September at ESTERHAZY KELLER, an authentic Viennese wine tavern located
in the heart of Vienna’s historic city centre. It will be an informal dinner:
there is no set menu but a big choice of typical Viennese dishes for
everybody’s taste and budget. However, a highlight will be the live music of
a Trio from Slovakia playing traditional pieces from the former
Austrian-Hungarian Empire (also on demand). The
closing reception will be held at noon of Monday 22 September at the foyer of GROSSER FESTSAAL (university
main building). This reception is kindly sponsored by Fürst von Metternich
Sekt and delegates will be offered a glass of sparkling wine. Book fair During the
conference Buchhandlung Kuppitsch
(Vienna) and Markus Wiener Publishers
(Princeton) will be selling books written by conference speakers. This
provides a great opportunity to have them signed by authors who are present. In
addition, publications of conference delegates will be on display throughout
the conference. Information is available here: >>
